PRIVACY POLICY
Effective August 8, 2026
OUR PRIVACY COMMITMENT
Company of Lions operates this website, which presents the ministry as The Lion Company. Company of Lions respects the privacy of people who visit this website, ask for prayer, contact us, or join our mailing list. This policy explains what the website asks for, why it is used, and the service providers involved.
This policy applies to information handled through this website. Giving, merchandise, video, and social-media links lead to other services whose own privacy policies apply.
INFORMATION WE HANDLE
- Prayer requests: first and last name, email address, optional phone number, and the prayer request you choose to share.
- Contact messages: first and last name, email address, optional phone number, and the message you choose to share.
- Mailing-list signups: email address and subscription status.
- Website-use information: hosting and analytics providers may receive technical information such as IP address, browser or device type, referring page, pages viewed, approximate location, and event timing.
Please do not include information in a prayer request or contact message that is not needed for the purpose of your submission.
HOW WE USE INFORMATION
- To deliver prayer requests privately for prayer and, when appropriate, a response.
- To deliver general contact messages and respond when appropriate.
- To confirm mailing-list requests and send the ministry updates a person chose to receive.
- To operate, secure, understand, and troubleshoot the website.
- To comply with a legal obligation or lawful request when required.
Submitting a prayer request or contact message does not give The Lion Company permission to publish it. Public use of a testimony, quotation, or story should require separate permission.
SERVICE PROVIDERS
The website uses Resend to deliver prayer and contact emails and to maintain newsletter subscription status. Vercel hosts the site and its form endpoint. These providers process information on Company of Lions’ behalf under their own terms and privacy practices.
The website also loads Google Analytics and Google-hosted fonts, displays YouTube media, and links to Subsplash for giving, Printify for merchandise, and social-media services. Those services may collect information under their own policies when a person uses them.
Company of Lions does not sell or rent information submitted through its prayer, contact, or newsletter forms. Access should be limited to people and providers who need it to operate these functions, and information may also be disclosed when legally required.
COOKIES AND ANALYTICS
Google Analytics may use cookies or similar technologies to measure visits and site use. Embedded YouTube media and other linked services may also use cookies or receive technical information. Browser settings can be used to block or delete cookies, although some features may not work as intended. Company of Lions does not use website form submissions for targeted advertising.
RETENTION AND YOUR CHOICES
Company of Lions retains website prayer requests and contact messages for six months after submission, then deletes the private message copies from the Lion inbox through a documented monthly retention review. A submission may be deleted sooner on a verified request unless it must be preserved for a legal, safety, or security reason.
Newsletter contact and subscription records are kept until the subscriber unsubscribes or asks for deletion. Subscribers can use the unsubscribe or preference link included in each ministry update.
Delivery logs, security logs, and backup copies maintained by service providers may remain for the provider’s limited retention cycle. Company of Lions does not use those residual copies for a new purpose.
ACCESS, CORRECTION, AND DELETION REQUESTS
To ask what website-form information Company of Lions has about you, request a correction, or request deletion, email jonathan@thelioncompany.org with the subject “Privacy request.” Include the email address used on the form and enough information to identify the submission. Company of Lions may take reasonable steps to verify the requester’s identity before disclosing, changing, or deleting information.
CHILDREN’S PRIVACY
This is a general-audience ministry website and is not directed to children under 13. Children under 13 should not submit prayer, contact, or newsletter forms. If Company of Lions learns that it collected personal information online directly from a child under 13, it will delete the information promptly. A parent or guardian may request review or deletion using the privacy-contact process above.
SECURITY AND SENSITIVE REQUESTS
Company of Lions uses established service providers and limits prayer routing by configuration, but no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Share only the information needed for the request.
The website is not an emergency service. Anyone needing urgent help should contact appropriate local emergency services.
GOVERNING CONTEXT AND POLICY CHANGES
Company of Lions operates this website from Texas, United States. Visitors may have additional rights under laws that apply where they live.
This policy may be updated when the website or information practices change. A revised policy will show a new effective date on this page.
